Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

At AliviaQ, your privacy is not an afterthought — it is a core design principle. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it in compliance with GDPR and applicable national health data regulations.

1. Who we are

AliviaQ is an independent pilot project operated by its founding team. There is no formally incorporated legal entity at this stage. For any privacy-related enquiry, please contact us at hola@aliviaq.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect data you provide directly (name, email, date of birth, health history, symptoms, consultation notes) and data generated automatically (device identifiers, IP address, usage logs). We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide safe, effective medical care.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used to match you with appropriate specialists, facilitate consultations, generate medical records, process payments, and improve platform safety and quality. We never use health data for advertising purposes.

4. Sharing your data

We share your data only with the doctor you consult, our GDPR-compliant infrastructure providers (encrypted at rest and in transit), and regulatory bodies when legally required. We never sell your personal or health data.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data. You may also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. Submit requests to hola@aliviaq.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

Medical records are retained for the minimum period required by the applicable health regulations of your country (typically 5–10 years). Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We enforce role-based access controls and periodically review our security practices to maintain high protection standards.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. We will notify you by email and in-app notification at least 30 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
